What is a Working KITAS?
- A Working KITAS (ITAS) is a limited stay permit that authorizes you to work in Indonesia for a specific employer, job title, and workplace address.
- Validity: 6 or 12 months, with the option to extend.
- Processing can now be completed onshore—you do not need to leave Indonesia.
- A local sponsor is required, typically the Indonesian company hiring you.
Processing time
- Typical processing time is under two months from complete submission, subject to government approvals.
Work authorization
- Your right to work is limited to the position and location stated in the approved work permit and reflected in your KITAS.
